At Cape Cod Mosaic Workshops, the greatest reward that you can give us is to recommend us to a fellow mosaic artist. When we work with you as a team we can create a mosaic school that meets your yearning for education and fellowship. Please let us know how we can improve and grow by sending us any comments about your experience with us.
Thanks, Jim. I really enjoyed the workshop and appreciate all of your help with my fish mosaic. It was also great meeting all of you!

The Mosaic Workshop given by Jim Bowen was informative and fun. My husband and I enjoyed using our creativity in a new way. Jim’s step by step, patient, gentle approach made it easy to experiment. The music that he played set a relaxed, comfortable tone and mood. We enjoyed the process, but best of all was the product. We left the class with completed mosaics that we are definitely proud of. The class exceeded our expectations.

Thanks so much of a wonderful 2 day mosaic workshop. I had a great time, met some new friends and brought home a lovely red and black Japanese character symbolizing PEACE!
You are a terrific teacher!

I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Kelley’s workshop last weekend! Her class was organized in a great way over the course of the three days, and really built upon itself. She had all the materials and tools we needed, and I appreciated the little details: individual palettes knives for each Thinset color, extra Montolit nippers to try (instructors keep telling me about them, but I’ve never tried them!), and—get this—brand new, cardboard boxes for us to carry our pieces home in. Wow. She is extremely knowledgeable about materials and answered lots of questions. And funny, to boot!
I learned something new each day, and even completed a piece to take home. (And I didn’t hit any traffic driving home to Marshfield!) Terrific!
Thanks for organizing these fantastic classes at such wonderful venues.
I truly enjoy them and am already looking forward to next summer! (Ah…no pressure…)

Loved, loved, loved the 2 day mosaic workshop this weekend in Falmouth! (I did the Japanese water character.)You are an inspiring teacher with a wonderful and warm personality.
Many thanks for your spirit and encouragement. Please make sure I am on your mailing list. I know I can get a good group of folks on the Lower Cape to attend a workshop here during the off season!

I recently took a summer workshop at Highfield Hall with Sonia King. I learned so much about technique and tools that I now feel confident continuing to work on my mosaic at home. The amount of material covered was tremendous, but it was all explained clearly and with pragmatism and humor. I can't wait to see next year's lineup of classes so that I can sign up for another!

Recently attended Jim Bowen's workshop with a friend from out of town and had a wonderful experience . It was a nurturing creative atmosphere with positive vibes. Jim was engaged with his students offering help when requested and suggesting knowledge based constructive criticism when it was for the betterment of the student's finished product.
It is definitely a workshop I would take again, at a future date, in a heartbeat.

Thank you for organizing the Cape Cod workshops! We felt very well cared for, both beforehand in your communications, and during, with great space, food choices, drinks, snacks, etc... A very well-run operation!

Thank you for an amazing workshop. Another dream (learning from Sonia King) has come true for me!
You did such a great job of providing space and food. I had plenty of room to work, as did the others around me. Given that there were so many in the class, that was quite the accomplishment.
The setting was beautiful. I took some time to see the fairy houses and gardens. How wonderful they were.
But I forget to leave money for my lunch on Friday. I will send that to you today.
Again, thank you for an experience I will never forget!

Yulia Hanansen's Flower workshop was a terrific experience - I learned a tremendous amount; it was fun & challenging. I cannot believe how much I accomplished in a 3 day workshop & I have so many new ideas to integrate into my work with mosaics. Yulia is a wonderful teacher, giving everyone individual attention each at their own level, & at the same time creating a rich & creative environment so we could all learn from watching & listening to Yulia's work with others in the group. I welcome more opportunities like this to increase my skill & my pleasure in my mosaic work.- Sue G.
I want you to know how much I enjoyed the workshop. Yulia was a delight to work with! I love her teaching style and guidance. It was such a wonderful venue to be in for the three days. - Suzanne D.
I recently took a 3 day course in abstracts with Lynne Chinn. I can't tell you what a wonderful experience it was. Lynne is sweet and very down to earth and a great teacher! My classmates were wonderful. We really enjoyed each others company and learned from one another.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jim and his wife. What lovely, unassuming, gentle souls.
I highly recommend taking any class at Cape Cod Mosaics. It is well worth the cost and the experience is priceless!

What a beautiful and powerful project and artwork created. The concept of each student creating an individual leaf was brilliant. Kudos to Jim, Debbie and Joanne Smith for such an incredible mosaic work. We need more of this in the schools rather than studying for the "test". Well done. - Linda Z.
Thank you Jim. The mural is more beautiful than I imagined.I couldn't have accomplished this without your expertise and all your help, patience, humor & hard work so, I thank you for bringing this joyful work of art into our school.
-Joanne Smith- Rochester Memorial School Art teacher
"Jim's class was exactly what I was looking for as a first-timer. He explained the materials, the techniques, and helped us problem solve -- all with great patience and creativity. I enjoyed the class so much, I took a second class with Jim!"
- Liz B.
"Hi Jim, I never even said thanks last night for the great instructional series, but I had a great time learning something new. I'm looking forward to the September series. Thanks for all you help and patience. Your mosaic on display at the Guild is amazing. Can't wait to start the new series ." - a former student
"Jim introduced me to the world of Mosaic Art and after a series of 6 classes with him, I was hooked. I was able to independently create simple mosaics and the recipients of my gifts were thrilled. I then was invited to participate in the Shining Sea Bike Path mosaic and loved working with other Mosaic Artists Like Jim, who designed and organized the completion of that beautiful piece for all to enjoy. His classes were fun and very educational. This last summer I was able to travel in Europe and saw first hand the wonderful works of Mosaic Art done by the Masters and was able to more fully appreciate the works, after the introduction by Jim Bowen". - Jan H.
"For a long time I tried to find a medium I felt comfortable working with and really enjoyed. Jim Bowen has a great style of teaching the art of mosaic and is extremely supportive in allowing you to be as creative with his assignments as you can be. After taking his class he remains a valuable resource of support and knowledge. I would highly recommend taking Jim Bowen’s mosaics classes to anyone interested in a new medium or the history of mosaic art." - Michael F.
"The beginner's mosaic workshop was a super experience! I mean that Jim is a great teacher...on hand to help with problems/questions, balancing the theoretical and the practical instruction, encouraging each student, but at the same time foreseeing the paths a beginner should not go down.
I completed my first small mosaic in the time provided. My discovery of a new media is exciting!"- Louise
Jim's beginners class was perfect! Jim has an easy style that helps you find your piece as you move forward - even if you are new to mosaic work. The entire process was creative and fun. The women in the class were all terrific too - so that helped make the workshop a joy in which to participate. I will continue working on mosaic pieces at home, now that the anxiety of getting a proper start, has been removed! -Kat
I just took the Primo 2 day Mosaic class at Highfield Hall and it was fantastic. Jim is a great teacher and I learned so much. I plan on taking more of his classes and will be telling all my friends. Thank you for opening my eyes to a whole new medium. - S. McGinn
I learned a lot from Jim Bowen about working with a group to create a mosaic tile mural for outdoors. Each person had to work on a piece that would be able to mesh with the whole. Then we installed it together. It was helpful to be able to go through the whole process together. Becky M.
I took the 2 day Mosaic class last fall at Highfield. What a wonderful experience. Jim is such a good teacher, gives you so much information and encouragement, and helps you to express your own creativity. Thank you, Jim. I can't wait for another class!!! - Mary Ann
